Coit Tower has been an icon in San Francisco. I have been up it numerous times but one such evening made it an icon for me in my personal life. My now husband proposed to me way up there at night. I remember he wanted to propose to me in a special spot but a few teenagers were hanging around it and I could tell he was getting nervous. I wasn't sure why he was so nervous, but I felt he had something going on. I was recovering from a cold and I wasn't feeling my absolute best but when he got down on one knee, it took all of that away! We celebrated by calling our parents and then heading down to Vesuvios for a night cap. I remember waking up the following morning in awe of my beautiful ring and what the future held for us.
